FORBIDDEN FICTION: A LITERARY SPEAKEASY EXPERIENCE 🤫

Step into the restricted section.

Join Crafted & Cured and The Velvet Bookmark for an evening celebrating stories that were once challenged, banned, or deemed too dangerous for the shelf. Inspired by the secretive spirit of Prohibition-era speakeasies, Forbidden Fiction transforms a night out into a literary adventure filled with forbidden stories, curated cocktails, and unexpected discoveries.

Browse a hand-selected collection of challenged and banned books—but the catch? You won’t know which titles are off-limits until you explore the displays. Along the way, uncover why these books were challenged and how they continue to shape conversations today.

Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy themed cocktail pairings inspired by the mysterious titles, uncover hidden clues woven throughout the displays, and unlock a special password known only to observant readers.

Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase these “literary contraband” titles from The Velvet…
